Do not purchase a Gehan home their customer service is a nightmare! We are buying a Gehan home in Aspen Meadows in Aubrey, Tx. We have had several delays with product and workmanship. We can't talk to the construction manager Michael, he is never available. Our salesperson Amy Ayon has been trying to get us to close on time, and is getting no help. The builder made it very clear prices went up and this is now were everything started going wrong. We were first told a couple weeks after signing we could no longer make the changes we were promised and also the completion date had been pushed back. So we were left with the choice of backing out of the contract and paying $30K-$60K more for the same house and start all over again or continue forward.

Builder Cant take peoples money and give them horrible in upgrades color/quality wise. Forcing to close with horrible things installed and make a person to pay for it. As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business.

I thought Gehan was supposed to be a luxury / premium builder but it is evident they are here to cut corners, give you an incomplete house, and move on to the next sale. I recommend anyone else in this position to consider taking additional action to hold Gehan accountable for their behavior. Everything started with disappointments and they never seemed to end. We were hesitant on buying the home we did was because some of the color selections that were already picked out. To get my wife and I to sign, they gave us a contract that clearly stated the color selection changes we liked instead and we decided to move forward on things being promised we could have those changes. Within a week of signing the market changed and all new home prices went up by 10%-20%.

Gehan Homes has reached out to the homeowner to do an evaluation inspection. If an access panel was not installed we will provide one. Gehan has spoken with the manufacturer of the tub and the motor does have a 5 year warranty that the homeowner can contact Royal bath to redeem if the motor has stopped functioning. Let's start from the six months warranty check. I supposed that went as well as it could, howbeit we still felt that least possible was done and as quickly as possible.

I was never contacted by any leadership to discuss an amicable solution that didn't result in my family losing almost 15 thousand dollars because of a valid military transfer. As a 18 year Soldier, I wholeheartedly understand sacrifice but my family worked extremely hard to save that money and we can't afford to lose that money. I contacted Gehan on April 19th of 2022 to send out a contractor to break my tub wall and reseal after Warranty work was completed. My tub has a 5 year warranty and this is the third time the jets have failed.

Scott Goldsworth is the mastermind behind the incompetence of this home build. Items were given to other homes and our items just are not in stock anywhere. Homes that are nowhere near completion have the Exact items we lack. The houses to the left and right of us broke ground 2 weeks before us and moved in, in October. I purchased a brand new Gehan home at 142 Destiny Drive, Boerne, Texas back in 2018. This month I was informed the roof is leaking over the bathroom.

The cabinetry and flooring is unfinished prior to closing of the house, which Gehan stated would be resolved within 30 days . I have also submitted additional items for my 60 day warranty and the experience is like pulling teeth. Gehan is not proactive with following up and fixing all items in a timely manner. Their construction manager that I have been working with has ghosted me and I have not heard from him in the last 2 weeks. Attempting to communicate via text or call is unsuccessful. It is almost October and I still have incomplete flooring and cabinetry work.

Due to the volume of complaints filed against this business, BBB only publishes the details for 50% of the total complaints filed. While this happened between the sixth month warranty check and the eleventh check, we needed to cover the ground to prevent further erosion. So, with the extra sod that was left over from other homes we covered it somewhat. From initial days itself we have faced lot of construction and the appliances issues well. We are already being disturbed by the loud noises Monday - Friday. You can at least have the common decency to inform your workers to respect the neighbors in the community in which they are building and use earbuds or provide them with earbuds.

But no one has come to do the paint touch up along with other minor issues that needed to be done. Selling the house they said they are gonna give 2 years and later then denied. Gehan home is my first ever house I bought, as a new buyer Gehan home has taken all the advantage they can.

After telling them we are not closing on the house and was ready to walk away, they promised and again had us sign a document showing everything to be completed. They said everything will be completed within 2 weeks after closing. Since we had everything in writing and signed, we decided to move forward on the closing. More than 3 months after closing I can not get them to our house to complete the job.

In hindsight I would have never signed the contract to begin with. We were told we were approved for the house but could never get the preferred lender on the phone to show us exact numbers for monthly payment, down payment, interest rate etc. We applied on March 22, 2022, contacted the lender listed on March 25, 2022 to obtain initial disclosures and estimates before signing our contract March 26. We were not given any initial disclosure packet containing a loan estimate until May 24, 2022.
